Kids open wide for pediatric dentist

Taking a child to the dentist is almost never a pleasant experience. Even babies seem to have heard through the grapevine that the dentist’s chair is a scary place. Trying to convince a frightened child to sit still while a virtual stranger digs in their mouth is somewhat impossible.

However, having a skilled professional to turn to when it’s time to get Junior’s teeth cleaned can make a world of difference.

Fortunately, area parents now have a new resource to turn to in times of trouble: Dr. Stu Bonnin. Dr. Bonnin is a pediatric dentist, specializing in treating children from age 1 and up.

Bonnin has been practicing pediatric dentistry for more than 10 years out of his offices in Pensacola. He has recently expanded to a second location in Navarre to serve his existing clientele, and to expand his practice into Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, and beyond.

A native of Louisiana, Bonnin said he had always wanted to be a dentist, for as long as he could remember. However, once he graduated from Louisiana State University, he wasn’t entirely sure dentistry was still where his heart was.

“I worked for a lot of different companies,” said Bonnin. “I realized, ‘This isn’t what you are supposed to be doing.’”
